A Bit About Me

33 years in O&G and energy transition in particular Lithium. I defined, developed and delivered corporate organisations and business development strategies. I explored, developed, and operated plants and fields offshore and onshore managing large multicultural teams in several different countries. Negotiations of multi-billions dollars deals. Project director of up to 30 billions dollars projects in Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), gas, oil and extra heavy oil, floating Gravity Based Structures constructions (GBS).

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER - Astari Lithium Refinery Project

Elaborate and implement strategy to build several Lithium conversion plants in Europe being 100% renewable energy and hydrogen ready. Focus on circular economy and energy transition.
Setting up corporate organization and principles including HR and Finance processes in a new structure.
Negotiations and implementation of: raw material supply, FEED and EPC, off-take of final products, equity raise and external project finance.
Management of governmental relations at ministry level in Germany & France.

ARCTIC LNG2 | Moscow, Russia

PROJECT DIRECTOR - 25 billion USD budget

Director of the development of the world's largest floating LNG plant. Multi billions dollars negotiation and development, with several large EPC contractors.
Managing engineering centers in France, Russia, Turkey, Abu Dhabi, China, suppliers all over the world and several fabrication centers in China and Russia with an ultimate location of the Plant in the North of the Polar Circle, representing several tenth of thousands of workers to coordinate.
I made it the world lowest Capex per ton of LNG project, still on time and on cost despite 2 years of Covid.

NOVATEK | Moscow, Russia

LNG PROJECTS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR,

ADVISOR to CEO

Project Director of ALNG2 for a GBS LNG plant 19.8 Mtpa, built from scratch with a team of experts.
Optimise technical concept: I built a strategy to reach the lowest possible costs with the maximum productivity for the Plant using top of the class technologies while maintaining saftey standards.
Global LNG strategy development and new business support, supervising all new LNG projects.
Development of the most complex high temperature and pressure field in Russia: West Yurkharov.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Developing all businesses with Novatek: purchase of 12% stakes in Novatek (up to 19% now), 20% in Yamal LNG and 50% Termokarstovoye. Negotiation of all agreements. Board member of the assets.
New Business of the Group in Russia: notably tight oil with Lukoil – purchase of 11 licenses.

PROJECT DIRECTOR NEW VENTURES & ASSET MANAGEMENT

Directly under Patrick Pouyanné, lead negotiator and project director for Russia:
- stake in Novatek 2011, Yamal LNG 2011 (for which I designed the initial concept), Termo 2010;
- Algeria: Ahnet bid success in 2009;
- Canada: Northern Light mining acquisition 2008;

Arbitration with the government in Argentina, project in the Middle East (Irak) and numerous other bids and M&A evaluations and negotiations.
